Draco remained silent, processing Wentworth’s cryptic statement.

Ignoring their perplexed expressions, Wentworth retrieved his wand and advised Draco and Harry, “I suggest you take out your wands while preparing for the worst.”

Responding to Wentworth’s warning, the two quickly tightened their grip on their wands.

Subsequently, the trio ventured into the Forbidden Forest, following the trail of unicorn blood.

Before long, an unusual noise emanated from ahead, prompting the three to exchange glances before cautiously approaching the source.

Soon, a cloaked figure came into view, lying on the ground. Beneath the figure was a pristine, elf-like unicorn, pinned down and drained of its vitality.

The figure, seemingly oblivious to the unicorn, continued greedily siphoning something, emitting a rhythmic hissing sound.

Observing the scene, Draco anxiously queried Wentworth in a hushed tone, “Is that person drinking unicorn blood? What should we do now?”

At that moment, Wentworth appeared to be absentmindedly scanning the surroundings, seemingly searching for something.

Upon hearing Draco’s question, Wentworth responded absentmindedly, “Now we just need to wait for that Centaur… No, Draco, why are you so quiet? Aren’t you supposed to scream?!”

Suddenly, Wentworth snapped out of his reverie.

According to the original plot and Draco’s character, he expected Draco to scream to draw the mysterious person’s attention, then, fulfilling his original role like in the book, Draco would make a quick escape, leaving Harry Potter behind.

This would be the cue for the Centaur Firenze to descend from the sky, playing the role of the hero.

However, when Wentworth observed Draco more closely, he noticed that Draco wasn’t showing any signs of panicked screaming.

Instead, his eyes sparkled with excitement, and Wentworth even detected a hint of eagerness to confront the situation.

At that moment, Wentworth felt a peculiar disturbance in the night wind of the Forbidden Forest.

Something was amiss with Draco; he wasn’t behaving as the courageous character Wentworth expected. “This is not how you are supposed to act! Did you get the wrong script, Draco?!” He thought to himself.

However, at that moment, Draco remained oblivious to the turmoil within Wentworth.

Catching Wentworth’s gaze, Draco intentionally puffed out his chest and then discreetly pointed to the mysterious figure across from them.

“Wentworth, how about we take a shot at him and trap him with Levioso while he hasn’t noticed us yet?” Draco suggested with a sly grin.

Wentworth was taken aback, exclaiming internally, “What are you even suggesting, Draco?! Before we even could have a shot toward them, they would have arrows nesting on our bodies! Did you get the wrong scrips on this timeline?”

Little did Wentworth know that the current Draco, having gone through the troll incident and acquiring the Secret Hallows identity card, was experiencing a surge of confidence.

Compared to the original life that was meant for him, the current Draco right now is having a lot of optimism and look at the things in a different perspective compared to the original young master who only grudge all the time.

There was an illusionary belief that he was the Chosen One in this time line. Moreover, Draco had developed unwavering trust in him with Wentworth by his side.

However, Harry, standing beside them, interjected in a trembling voice, “Draco, I think you’re too late. The other person seems like already aware of our presence!”

Upon hearing Harry’s words, Wentworth and Draco swiftly turned their heads to look forward.

True to Harry’s observation, the figure in the cloak raised his head, although his expression remained hidden. Wentworth, however, sensed the gaze fixed on their direction.

Without warning, the mysterious man leaped up and soared towards the trio’s hiding spot. A quick glance around revealed no centaurs in sight. Wentworth finally concluded one thing: he might be in over his head!

As the mysterious figure swiftly approached, Wentworth retreated and shouted urgently, “Run!”

Initially self-assured, Draco saw Wentworth’s reaction, and his confident smile froze. “Wh-what?!”

Though Draco hesitated momentarily, he acknowledged that he couldn’t outmatch Wentworth.

Turning around, he seized the seemingly immobilized Harry Potter and sprinted away, following Wentworth’s lead.

Indeed, Wentworth harbored no illusions about being a match for the figure on the opposite side.

While Draco and Harry remained unaware of the identity of their pursuer, Wentworth had a clear understanding.

Disregarding any potential involvement of Voldemort possessing Professor Quirell, Wentworth was skeptical.

Wentworth wouldn’t buy it if anyone claimed that Voldemort could be easily subdued. Voldemort’s mere presence at Hogwarts suggested a significant level of resistance.

Even without Voldemort, dealing with Professor Quirell alone posed a formidable challenge for Wentworth’s current level.

Professor Quirell’s usual stammering demeanor was merely a facade, and Wentworth, a student from Ravenclaw, knew better than to underestimate him.

The assumption that every Slytherin student turned Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts was inept was a fallacy in Professor Quirell’s case.

As Wentworth and his companions sprinted away, their figures became glaringly evident to their pursuer, particularly when the mysterious figure spotted Harry Potter among them.

In this critical moment, Harry was not preoccupied with Draco’s error but rather with the searing heat and pain emanating from the scar on his forehead.

He pushed forward even with the scorching pain on his forehead. Though he wanted to scream but, he opted not to…

The intense discomfort left Harry in a daze, relying on Draco to guide him in their hasty retreat.

Unfortunately, their pace was no match for the relentless pursuit of the figure behind them.

As Wentworth glanced over his shoulder, he observed their adversary closing in, the gap diminishing with each passing moment.

Reacting swiftly, Wentworth raised his wand. However, to the surprise of his companions, the wand was aimed not at the looming threat but at the sky.

“Lumos Maxima!” Wentworth incanted, unleashing a brilliant burst of light that shot upwards into the starry expanse.

Observing the scene unfold, Draco seemed to grasp the situation. He hesitantly raised his wand, mimicking Wentworth’s chant: “Lumos Maxima!” A feeble light emanated from Draco’s wand, barely illuminating the path three feet ahead.

Frustrated with the meager result, Draco muttered an expletive under his breath, “How can the results be so different?! Harry, make sure to keep following me!” reluctantly continuing to guide Harry, who clutched his forehead, trembling in distress.

The radiant light emitted by Wentworth’s spell caught the attention of those who remained awake throughout Hogwarts.

The Centaur Firenze, glancing at the glow, remarked to Ronan beside him, “I truly wish to discover the origin of this Spell.”

Professor McGonagall hurriedly exited her office, only to encounter Snape, who was also hastening towards the open area outside Hogwarts.

Snape had arrived from behind, both Professors converging on the intriguing scene.
